My favorite tv show at the moment, would have to be Desperate Housewives. I would describe it as a night time soap opera! Although I have never liked watching soaps -they are so dramatic- I can't help but LOVE this one... They cover pretty current topics, such as marriage, divorce, pregnancy, affairs, the struggles of owning your own business and especially about how people think that they know someone, when in reality they really dont know them at all. Everyone has a past, secret or problem that they dont want anyone to know about, because in Wisteria Lane -thats the street that everyone on the show lives on- everyone's lives are perfect, or so they seem.
On the last episode one of the Susan thought that her ex-husbands, ex-girlfriend tried to kill her daughter, and hired a detective to figure it out, and realized that the detective that she hired was a girl she used to make fun of in high school-and she was still holding onto her grudge.-Then Lynette found out about an affair that one of the other neighbors was having with a married man. And Gabrielle is a rich girl who used to be a model, whose daughter has to be home schooled because Gabrielle got in an argument with her daughters principal and got her daughter kicked out of the school. The only problem is that the private school that she wants to put her daughter in is booked, so she must home school her until there is an opening to enroll. Unfortunately she is not very good at teaching, and the tension is tearing her and her daughter farther and farther away from each other. So Gabrielle's husband Carlos finds out that the maid he hired to clean his home is really teaching his daughter math, because Gabrielle couldn't handle it anymore.
I hope this makes at least one person want to watch the show. It is a really exhilarating, I promise!!!

This makes me want to watch that episode again! I love the housewives, and it's definitely one of those shows that if you miss one episode, you are going to be so lost by the time next week rolls around. It's so dramatic and creative! I don't know how the writers do it after all of these years...
ReplyDeleteAll girls like this show. But it's not for boys. There's another show, gossip girl. They are similar to each other. Because of your last sentence, I may try to watch this show!!
ReplyDeleteI love Desperate Housewives! It is totally unrealistic, but it is so entertaining! There is always so much drama, making the show very interesting to watch. I haven't seen any of the new season, but I'm hoping to catch up over winter break! =]
ReplyDeleteI find fault with that logic that everyone has secrets. Like we are all fake. There will also be some liars, but I believe for the most part people are honest and don't have alot to hide.
ReplyDeleteDesperate Housewives is so not my kind of show, but the drama is very appealing...
