'But She Was Naked! And all Articulate!'

In reality doesn't Inara have to be rhetorical sometimes to protect herself? It almost seems like she uses this training as a shield of some sort, And she can easily switch between all different forms of this method. When she is sitting in the room with Fess, and his father continuously degrades his son, she picks up on his dominance and the possibly bad situation and begins to dis empower Magistrate Higgins by telling him he is not welcome in her room any longer and that only his son is welcome, she is basically giving the son a taste of 'control' and helping him 'become a man'. But just as soon, she takes that power away from Fess too when she says, 'Sex is a ritual, a symbol.... But it doesn't make you a man, you do that yourself.' Basically as soon as he starts to feel comfortable around her, she puts his confidence in check, by letting him know she is in charge.
