Another problem

How do you explain what a "new self" is? Meaning when you turn 18 and you realize that everything has changed, including your responcibilities, how do you explain that these sometimes change you into someone else a " new you"?

    I guess you might be able to compare it to being reborn. You're brought into this new life and you need to learn things for yourself instead of things being done for you.
