Moeller "Is it art?"

To tell you the truth, I never even thought twice about the abandoned church in the beginning of the show! "An abandoned church is unlikely in Sunnydale- an abandoned church- Think about it. Considering the fact that the possibility of a grisly death in this particular town seems very high, the need for prayer is especially high (Moeller 97)." I don't attend church at all, but if I lived in a town that always seemed to have bad/weird things happening, I think I would do my share of begging and pleaded to ANY god.

    I definately see where you are coming from in this blog. I know that if I was in a town like this, I would definately be at church all the time. Prayer can definately comfort someone and make them feel safer.

    The town was altogether creepy with an unwelcoming feeling. With the abandoned church, that just portrays the cold atmosphere of the town.

    I was actually really confused when I read the analysis because of this opinion. To me, people would be less likely to attend church in an environment where there are demons walking around. How could a holy God allow so much bad to happen in Sunnydale? I think that people would not want to go to church when evil is constantly surrounding them, because God would be just too hard to believe in.
