My first resource is from a website called “The Journey from Adolescence to Adulthood.” ( http://searchwarp.com/swa25822.htm. ) Regardless of the difficulties that surround this important transition, these terrible teens will normally grow into wonderful young adults that you can be proud of (Anne Wolski.) Not only was Wolski’s article unconvincing, but it left me trying to fill in the blanks, because she only touched on topics without going in to detail. I couldn’t help but wonder, why are these transitions’ important, why are teens terrible, and how do/will they grow into wonderful adults? Even though I do find this topic very interesting, it is extremely hard to base an opinion or be completely certain of the opinion you do form when it is anchored by something so inconclusive.
My second source is sited from (http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/648945/stages_of_development_changes_from.html ) by Angel Tate. Although Tate may not be a professional in the sense (Dr/BSW/LCP), when she speaks about adolescents her tone is very focused and easy to follow. She speaks about the adolescents search for independence and how they tend to always be in conflict with anyone and everyone that are in authoritative positions.

I read that first article and you're right, she needs to get into a little more detail. Even a reader or two on the article commented saying they wished the writer had gone more into detail with things.
ReplyDeleteEven though some people can be very knowledgable about certain topics, sometimes the way they write about them can leave an audience very unsettled. After reading your first article, I could tell the writer knew what she was talking about, but she didn't go into deatil enough to answer the audience's questions-- she may just assume that the audience knows because she doesn't think about how everyone else doesn't share the same knowledge as her.
ReplyDeleteDetails would definitely help more in the first paragraph that you talked about. I was mildly confused when I read the first article because it took me some time to grasp what the writer was trying to say.
